Snow and Whoop.

Yesterday, we chanced upon some snowfall, which was more than welcome considering the lack of white upon the ground.

It's a most beautiful thing when the snow decides to fall! The temperatures appear warmer and there's a sense of peace and pure beauty.

But after just a couple of minutes outside in the snowfall, I soon became chilly; you know, me and my Californian skin not quite used to the chills, and so I came inside for a warm blanket.

Well, my warm blanket turned into a warm drink, of which I made, courtesy of The Londoner.

It's dubbed a "Hot Tail" and boy is it sure delicious. My brother licked that right up and my mom, who doesn't do hot chocolates, also suggested we make it the next night! Naturally, I had to pile mine with whoop because what even is a hot chocolate without whip cream?

It was a snowy day topped with whip cream.. my absolute favorite.

Snow!

My photos are very similar to those of The Londoner. She inspired me immensely and if you would like to try this heavenly drink (which I think you most certainly should), go on over and check out her post about it!

Fudge perfectly sums up how I feel sometimes.. Especially after a special hot chocolate..

What I wore: vintage rhinestone earrings (used), striped holiday J CREW top (used), red LTS skinny jeans, and blue SACHELLE boots (used).

Sparkle Saturday.

I have made it home.

Over the river and through the woods to the Krull house I go!

Heavenly days am I pleased to be home. Even though it has only been a couple of months since I was here last, the time flew by in a flash and it's like I was here yesterday, 'cept for the thin layer of snow on the ground and the frisky nip in the air.

Crazy how time flies!

Anyhow, it's been a busy last couple of days (naturally), but I find time here in the evening with the fire roasting my face and the lighted tree by my side to sit down and have a catch up with you!

So take it back to Saturday- my volunteering day at Curtain Call Consignment, also dubbed as "Sparkle Saturday" for us employees. We dressed up in our glittery finest and had a lovely day at the consignment store, reveling in the holiday spirit. I've missed this place dearly!

Love these girls!

What I wore: vintage rhinestone earrings (used), black KATE SPADE tee (super sale), vintage sparkly pleated skirt (used), silver sparkly TED BAKER bag (used), and lavender STEVE MADDEN flats (used).

We then had a tree to decorate! It's been a little late this season because believe it or not, but we had a film crew hear just the other day for some tv show or another so decorating had to be put on hold. Oh what troubles. ;)

So onward we commence to decorating the Christmas trees, in its entirety of bears.

But then I fell tired, as did Jess.

And Fudge soon followed suit.

So glad to be home at long last!

Throwback Thursday- Il Mare.

We're taking it back to Mexico!

I myself just completed a family photo book last night of the trip and noticed that the majority of the pages revolved around the meals we had. Tells you how important that is to our family, yeah? So I thought I would continue that stream, at least for a little bit, and share another fine dining experience with you.

This particular meal was at a restaurant that we had visited the last time we came, one of my favourites. Located a short walk from the club, Il Mare is located on the side of the road by means of an enticing entrance. Check this out..

A quick walk down the steps, and you enter a dining room with an open balcony overlooking the harbor of Ixtapa. Gorgeous view.

After being seated next to this gorgeous ocean below, we got right to work on taking some snaps.

Dinner this evening was pasta, the food of my people. Considering that it was an Italian restaurant (in Mexico), I decided to go all Italian- wine, bruschetta, pasta, and all.

Linguini Con Vongole: linguine with fresh clams in a garlic, Chardonnay wine sauce and fresh parsley. How could I not?

And what meal is complete without dessert?

And cafe?

And Kahlua?

My sister and I then had the dilema (well, her more than I, but I have experienced this myself) of the making-out-with-the-air-trying-to-find-your-straw experience. Ever have that? Only making out we'll ever do..

I daresay that it was the loveliest evening. Food brings people together, that's what I say!
