Snowy Saturday.

Yesterday at Curtain Call, we dubbed it as "Snowy Saturday" in the hopes that we would receive some snowfall.

Alas, that did not happen, so we had to make due with our outfits! Snow has been hard to come by this time of year, but that doesn't mean that it won't come later!

Anyhow, it was another lovely day at the consignment shop, and as I went around and did some "work", I found a lot of treasures. It's always fun for me to see what fellow Alaskans shop for. Even though we were dubbed with one of the least fashionable states, I don't think that means we have to stay that way!

Here's to Curtain Call, for helping the Peninsula recycle clothing and for providing a lovely and encouraging shopping experience.

"Curtain Call
We have the clothes for you at Curtain Call
Come in and buy some shoes at Curtain Call
For short or tall
We have it all
At Curtain Call..."

Baby it is cold outside!

What I wore: white fluffy PARKHURST hoodie (used), cream petal CASHMERE & STRAWBERRY dress (Christmas gift), tan cashmere NORDSTROM fingerless gloves (used), gray RALPH LAUREN socks, and khaki WET SEAL ankle booties.

A Song for Sunday- Make it Rain.

I never thought things could get more emotional between a tv show and a musician.

Boy was I wrong.

So I have been completely absorbed and caught up in the turbulent world of Sons of Anarchy. It started back a couple of months ago and I flew through all six seasons in a flash. And then I made the mistake of checking up on Ed Sheeran's Twitter page and seeing that he had just finished doing a song for the seventh season.

And then there was the emotional roller coaster ride. Sons of Anarchy by itself had already given me feels beyond belief, especially the last episode of season six (an episode that involved a torrent of tears and lots of yelling at the screen and which, by the way, has left me currently hanging because season seven is not on Amazon Prime yet for me to watch), but to add in the fact that one of my favourite artists was recording a song for it was just the cherry on top.

Immediately, I went to go and have a listen and it was pure magic to my ears not three seconds in.

Ed's version of Make it Rain (originally written by Foy Vance) is complete genius and goes along perfectly well with the vibe of the show, especially the seventh season. It's eerie, it's dark, and altogether magnificent. Those guitar plucks resounding in the echoey background, Ed's incredible voice... it all sums up perfectly to the epic-ness of SOA.

Have a listen, even if you don't care for the show ( how could you not though? it seriously leaves me so emotionally charged), and hopefully you'll love it as much as I.

"...When the sins of my father
Weigh down in my soul
And the pain of my mother
Will not let me go

Well I know there can come fire from the sky
Till we find the purest of kings
Even though I know this fire brings me pain
Even so, I'm just the same

Make it rain
Make it rain down Lord
Make it rain
Oh, make it rain..."

Merry Christmas from the Krulls.

Oh it has been a most glorious holiday season here in Alaska.

There's nothing like being home for the holidays, let me tell you! There's no one I would rather spend time with through the hustle and bustle of the season than my family.

Late night Sherlock episodes ( I have finally hooked the family on the genius of Cumberbatch and Freeman), special hot chocolates, laughter around the dinner table... I can imagine nothing else this time of year.

Anyhow, here's Christmas at the Krulls!

Outfit of choice this fine evening..

So merry and bright in the Kastle of the Krull.

Family looking all festive come Christmas Eve!

And thus begins the traditional wonton makings, a job done by everyone.

And then the montage of family photo attempts, most including at least one goofy face.

I simply adore the Christmas season..

Christmas morning and we begin the day with the most important thing: coffee!

Ahhhhh

I thought it best to simply pick some of my favorite photos from the morning and not display all the things we got, cause that's not really what Christmas is about, you know? It's about family time, quality time. That's what I love.

Best seat in the house right there by the fire!

Anton's favorite line of all time- "Everything is awesome!"

Alyeska has become quite the maker of fine ceramics!

My grandma got me this One Direction makeup.. I didn't been know they made such a thing, but it sure out a smile on my face!

He goes right to the Legos, just like old times.

And we end with traditional breakfast casserole. Cheers to a lovely Christmas.  I'd love to hear how yours went!
